GISPA elects new Board and President
The Ghana Internet Services Providers Association (GISPA) has elected Mr. Richard Densu as President. Mr. Densu replaces Mr. Ernest Brown, who served as GISPA President for three terms. Mr. Densu represents MTN on the GISPA Board. George Gabla of Internet Solutions Ltd, Kwesi Nkrumah of Comsys Ghana Mr. Michael Nfodzo of Vodafone and Emmanuel Kwarteng of Main One were also elected to the GISPA board.
AfriNIC IPV6 and INRM Training workshop
The Ghana Internet Exchange Point (GIX) in collaboration with the Ghana Internet Services Providers Association (GISPA) and with sponsorship from KNET, invited two facilitators from AfriNIC to hold a four day workshop on IPv6 and INRM with IP Engineers from network services providers in Ghana.
Ghana Internet Exchange Point Peering Roadshow
The Ghana Internet Services Providers Association (GISPA) and Ghana Internet Exchange (GIX) collaborated with Internet Society to organize the maiden edition of an Internet Peering and Interconnection Roadshow at the Swiss Spirits Hotel in Accra on 25th April, 2017. This roadshow brought together stakeholders from academia, private sector, regulator and government to deliberate on peering and interconnection issues in Ghana.

CERT-GH in collaboration with GIXA and other agencies is planning a Cyber Security Week in November from 21 – 25. The week will include a conference on the first day, training workshops for days 2 – 3 on forensics and web defacement and a high level CEO’s round table on day four.
The Internet Society will be hosting the Africa Peering and Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) in partnership with Tanzania Internet Service Providers Association (TISPA), from 30th August - 1st September in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Ghana Internet Exchange (GIX) is in the process of relocating to a new Data Centre as part of it's expansion drive and plans to host more peers and services. This was indicated by the Technical Manager of the GIX, Mr Emmanuel Kwarteng.
The Ghana Internet Services Association (GISPA) has re-elected Mr. Ernest Brown as its President. Mr. Ernest Brown was re-elected at the association's general meeting held at the Coconut Regency Hotel last Tuesday, January 26.
